Who we are
John Bentley founded the You Are a GIFT Foundation to help mothers overcome prescription drug addiction. Following the loss of his daughter, he was awakened to the reality of what is truly important in life. This personal revelation brought about a change of heart and direction. John's mission is to help mothers overcome prescription drug addiction by providing the education and assistance they need to restore wholeness.

The foundation's name is based on the mission to help others reflect God’s Image and Fulfill your Talent (GIFT) in service to others allowing you to live your purpose and glorify God.
how do we help?
Through local strategic partnerships, we provide resources and solutions for mothers to obtain the necessary education and support to become addiction free from prescription drugs. We collaborate with organizations that are equipped to identify the obstacles that prevent mothers from receiving rehabilitation. We exist to promote addiction prevention, drive awareness, and pilot funding; all with the goal of restoring relationships for mothers and their families.
Why we exist
The You Are A GIFT Foundation is a regional non-profit that partners at the local level with organizations and other non-profits who work to help mothers become addiction-free from prescription drugs so they can restore relationships with their families and live a meaningful life.
