Apostolic Bishop Darryl

BIOGRAPHY

Apostolic Bishop Darryl was born to Sandra (mother), Bob, and Willie Mae Jackson (grandparents), who raised him in love, affection, and church.

 

He accepted his call into ministry and ministered his first message in 1978. He was licensed to preach and installed in his first pastoral assignment in the same year in the AME Zion Church. He served two churches, Thomas Chapel and Jerusalem, while in the AME Zion Church.

 

After that, his pastoral assignments were at Faith Christian Center and Faith In Action Church Of The Firstborn Ministries. Apostolic Bishop served in prison ministry faithfully for forty years, counselling, teaching, and helping to establish and sustain the church behind prison bars. Apostle Darryl married Beverly Pickens on October 30th, 1982, after dating for four years.

 

In May 1985, they co-founded Church of the Firstborn Ministries Inc. in Tuscaloosa, AL. Later, the church became one church in two locations. Together, they have co-produced Pastor Beverly’s first CD entitled “Beautiful For Situation” and are presently completing their second, “There Is Always A Hallelujah.” They also founded the “School of the Holy Spirit.”

 

Apostle Darryl facilitates a regional Apostolic fellowship (That They May Be One) and a host of fourteen ministries of spiritual Sons and Daughters (Apostolic Covenant Family Of Ministries). Apostle Darryl co-covers ministries in Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Africa.
